A Georgian period sentimental ring made from braided locks of brown hair which is protected by a pane of rock crystal. The hair and rock crystal is surrounded by a halos of engraved gold and French jet. The gold mounting has a split shank design with delicately engraved rose flowers and the initials R.E. inscribed on the interior panel of the ring. Circa 1820's.
