A Taxco silver and malachite bracelet which makes a fantastic statement bracelet. The bracelet has alternating slabs of inlaid malachite and polished silver divots. The bracelet has hinged shoulders, an incredibly thoughtful design element which makes it easy to take on and off. The closure is a push button with a hidden box clasp. Pieces from the Taxco region are sometimes stamped with the letter “T” at the beginning of the signature. The second letter of the signature represents the initial of the last name of the artisan, and the number following is the sequential number assigned to that artisan. So “TO-27” indicates a Taxco artisan whose last name begins with the letter “O” who happens to be the 27th artisan who registered with the letter “O.”
